"White Sands, New Mexico"
"White Sands, New Mexico"

One of those truly unique places. It is the worlds largest gypsum sand dune and it crawls slowly over the plains of the Tularosa Basin in southern New Mexico. When deep in this National Monument / World Heritage Site the perfectly circular mountainous panorama in the distance compounded with the pristine white sand underfoot gave me an amazing sense of scale; you are a small new thing in a vast ancient world.
